Given the current situation concerning COVID-19, we are aware about the uncertainties regarding this workshop. The organising committee hasn't made a final decision yet, whether IWEE 2020 will be postponed or not. We encourage everybody who is interested in this event to register anyway! The event is free (and refund for the conference dinner is possible). Note that you should wait with booking tickets and accommodation though, if there is no guarantee for a refund. We will keep you updated about decisions regarding IWEE 2020 on this website and via email if you have already registered!

This workshop brings together young researchers from a variety of departments (e.g. maths, biology, physics, chemistry, philosophy, history, etc...) who are interested in evolution and ecology. Our goal is to develop interdisciplinary skills through PhD student-led focal topics and collaborative discussions. Following a series of talks, we gather in groups and discuss open questions from current research and how to approach them from different interdisciplinary angles.
The workshop is built around methodological themes - from experimental data acquisition, data analysis and processing, over theoretical modelling, hypothesis testing, numerical methods, to experimental validation. It focuses on topics (not exclusively) related to
- Host-Pathogen Co-Evolution
- Morphometrics
- Reproduction and Mating Systems

Thus far our invited speakers include Prof. Hanna Kokko, Department of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies University of Zurich) and the Milner Prize Winner 2020 (to be determined by competition).

There is no registration fee for IWEE, but sign-up is required!
The deadline for registration is 1 May 2020.

If you wish to take part in the conference dinner, you will have the option to choose a 2 or 3-course meal from the SET MENU when you register.
