Joint SPS-POLIS staff and PGR seminar: Crossing departmental boundaries
Attend this informal event to introduce your research to a joint forum of SPS and POLIS staff and PGR students.
Politics and international studies, and social and policy sciences - there is undoubtedly plenty of overlap between our two departments, but how often do you get to cross the boundary from 3 East to 1 West North and vice versa. If you haven't had a chance to follow up on that possible collaboration opportunity, attend many departmental research seminars or you've missed out on the meet and greet of the new staff or PhD cohorts, this event is for you.
This seminar is a perfect opportunity for you to come and meet other staff and PhD students from the Department of Social & Policy Sciences and the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies, and get to know them a little better. It is also a chance to introduce yourself and your research to others in an informal setting. From policy and gender to conflict or culture, there is interesting work going on in both departments.
Come to this relaxed session and talk about the collaborations that are already underway and find new opportunities to share research ideas, methods, teaching practices and work together. Bring your colleagues, supervisors or PhD students along.
