Altmetric track online attention to published research. This includes news, social media, policy and patent mentions and more. You may have seen the colourful Altmetric ‘donuts’ in the Research Portal and elsewhere.
Altmetric can help you as a researcher with:
- monitoring online attention to your publications, and other research outputs
- evidencing engagement with your research from outside of academia (e.g. for REF impact case studies, promotion and grant applications)
- making connections and for reputation management

Lunch with Impact Workshops
This event is part of the Lunch with Impact Workshops series, funded by the University’s HEIF and EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA).
The series supports you in identifying, generating, evidencing and achieving impact from their research. Sessions are practical in nature, enabling attendees to apply the information, knowledge and tools to their own research.
Lunch will be available from 12:15, with the talk and Q&A from 12:30. All staff and research students are welcome to attend.
