Join Professor Sam Akehurst for this Lunch with Impact online workshop to find out how the University’s £70 million Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) is enabling business engagement and impact, along with some of the opportunities, challenges and lessons learnt along the way.

The talk will share practical tips about engaging with partners external to the University and will be of particular interest to researchers seeking to develop collaborative working.

The talk is open to staff and postgraduates at the GW4 Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.

Speaker

Professor Sam Akehurst is Professor of Advanced Powertrain Systems at the University of Bath and Research Director at IAAPS. His key responsibilities include channelling commercial research links into the academic community, developing strategic external academic research links to ensure alignment between academic and commercial operations, as well as nurturing research links from current and future industry partnerships.

This workshop is part of a series funded by the University’s Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA), to support researchers in identifying, generating, evidencing and achieving impact from their research. Sessions are designed to enable attendees to apply the information, knowledge and tools to their own research.
