The National Postdoc Conference 2023 is the only conference in the UK dedicated solely to the celebration of postdoctoral researchers from any university, in any discipline. Talks can help you to navigate the postdoc journey and to thrive in your current role and beyond.

The conference is free to attend for all Postdocs.

Come along and meet your fellow postdocs and share your research. This networking session will give you a chance to share your research with other postdocs across the university and make some new friends and potential collaborators too. Pizzas will be provided for free.

Postdoc Appreciation Week is a good time to reflect on your career. How would you like your career to develop? What options are out there for you? What do you do next?

The coaches are all experienced in supporting postdocs and understand both the challenges and opportunities of academic careers, as well as the range of exciting and stimulating careers outside the university sector.

Stand-up and Thrive… in a research environment

Friday 22 September |4:00pm-6pm | Seminar Room, Milner Centre

Join Edinburgh Fringe comedian, author and coach, Harriet Beverage for a highly engaging and practical talk. Harriet will share insights from evidence-based neuroscience as well as a wonderful dollop of humour and great tips for thriving in a research environment. Afterwards there will be drinks and a chance to relax at the end of postdoc appreciation week.
