The Reactionary Politics Research Group (RPRG) was launched in 2023 and brings together colleagues from across the University of Bath and beyond whose research engages with reactionary movements in politics – including movements promoting sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, racism, and ecofascism – and resistance to them.
The RPRG is interdisciplinary and open to all methods but requires a critical approach to researching reactionary politics. Particular care is taken towards ethical engagement with such research. As we seek to develop our network, we have organised this workshop to focus primarily on research being developed in the South West.
Part of the workshop will be dedicated to discussing way to formalise the network and potential funding applications (for example, GW4).
Postgraduate research candidates are welcome.
