Open research is about increasing the transparency and trustworthiness of research. It goes beyond making publications freely available (open access) and involves taking an open approach throughout the research cycle, through collaborative working and sharing and making research methodology, software, code and equipment available online, along with instructions for using it. Other open research initiatives include moving away from authorship to recognise a broader range of contributor roles to our publications.
Come and hear from colleagues at the University about the opportunities and challenges that this agenda gives researchers and share your views on how we might progress this agenda at the University.
