Speaker

David Carpenter is an independent consultant in ethics review working on behalf of the UK Research Integrity Office. A retired Lecturer, also trainer for ARMA and HRA, Chair of a NHS REC and a member of the BPS ethics committee.

This session will be of particular interest to those involved in the research ethics process such as Chairs, secretaries and members of research ethics committees, DREOs and professional services. This invitation is also open to anyone, students, researchers or professional services, with an interest in research ethics. Please feel free to forward this invitation to any interested internal colleagues.

The session will cover the following topics:

  • Legal and ethical use of data
  • Virtuous researcher and virtuous REC
