Join this Centre for Research in Education in Asia (CREA) session to hear Dr Sarah Ganassin talk about how language choices shape the entire research process — from literature review and data collection to analysis and dissemination — in the context of research where multiple languages are being used.
She’ll discuss how researchers can engage more effectively with their own and others' work in this area to produce more impactful research.
Sarah’s talk will cover theoretical insights and practical guidance; explore the need to decentre dominant language norms and embrace decolonial research practices; and how to challenge your own language choices and assumptions during the research process.
As an attendee, you’ll be encouraged to reflect on your own multilingual practices.
