This session will discuss some of the important critical reasoning skills and theoretical concepts central to all of the degrees offered within this faculty: Criminology, International Development, Sociology, Social Policy and Social Work.

The main focus of this session is a recorded online lecture, delivered by Dr Beth Jaynes, on ‘Teenage Motherhood’, part of the ‘Social Problems and Social Policy’ optional unit taught to first-year students. Please note, this lecture does briefly reference sexual relationships and experiences of childbirth.

You will be guided to think through the issues raised and will be invited to submit questions about the course content along with more general questions regarding the experiences of studying at The University of Bath.
