Our dynamic mechanical analyser is capable of measuring the mechanical properties of polymers, ceramics and many other materials.

This seminar will be led by Dr Joseph Marsh, Thermal Analysis Product Specialist at Mettler-Toledo Ltd. It is an ideal opportunity to better understand thermal analysis techniques and to address research questions to a specialist in thermal analysis.

Joseph will introduce the four main techniques of thermal analysis and present their many applications on a range of materials from polymers to inorganics and MOFs:

  • Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
  • Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
  • Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA)
  • Thermomechanical analysis (TMA)

There will be a range of instruments on display.

There will be refreshments.
