About the role

The University's accommodation department houses over 4,000 students throughout the academic year.

During the summer, external companies use our accommodation for conferences, summer camps and away days.

We have two vacancies for the role of Accommodation Operations Caretaker.

You will ensure that our properties and grounds are inviting, well maintained and safe.

You will be out and about around the accommodation, proactively making sure it is maintained to a high standard. Any issues are to be reported promptly and professionally.

This could be maintaining bedrooms and communal areas or liaising with colleagues to instruct maintenance teams.

You will be responsible for making sure the accommodation is ready for new students or commercial guests.

This includes ensuring cleaning and waste removal Service Level Agreements are met.

Experience in a maintenance role is desirable, but not essential as we will provide you with full training.

You must be personable, self-motivated and able to show a flexible and positive can do attitude.

The role requires you to work five days out of seven, with weekend working expected.

The annual salary for this role starts from £17,408, rising to £18,688.
