Alumni Fund Grants for staff, SU clubs and societies
Do you have an idea that would benefit your student society? Could a new piece of equipment kick start the success of your sports club, or the teaching and learning experience in your department? Or do you have an idea to spark a new line of research which could lead to something exciting if only you could get some initial data?
Thanks to the generosity of our alumni and friends the University is able to award a number of grants to support our students, staff and University community. Alumni Fund grants can be made for any project which will enhance the University experience across the wider student community. These can support new innovations in academic contexts, new equipment for SU clubs or societies or enable new activities to be piloted.
Applications are now open for the next round of funding, close on 29 January 2019, and decisions will be made in Spring 2019.
Applications are very occasionally considered outside the main funding rounds if there is a compelling reason why the Panel should make a special exception.

Alumni Fund Placement Grants
If you are going on placement you may also be eligible for an Alumni Fund Placement Grant.
We will consider applications from individual students requesting personal funding for any off-campus activity, which will either enhance their career prospects or contribute something extra that is not usually part of their degree studies.
