Coach service details
If you're an international or EU student you can book a place on our free coach service from London Heathrow Terminal 3 to the University campus. We don't offer a collection service from any other airport.
We have over 450 places available on our coaches this year. You can bring two large suitcases, a piece of hand luggage and a laptop bag with you.
The coaches run from 9am until 8pm on Saturday 22 September and Sunday 23 September.
If you are going to live off campus, you can take the free minibus service to some off-campus University and Hello Student accommodation once you arrive on campus.
Choosing your collection time
You must arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before the coach leaves.
Luggage collection and immigration control can take up to two hours. You should book the coach for two and a half hours after your flight arrival time.
How to book
If you are travelling with your family or friends, they need to arrange their own transport to Bath.
When we receive your booking, we will email you within 10 working days to confirm your place on the coach. You need to print out your confirmation email and bring it with you when you travel.
Arriving before Saturday 22 or after Sunday 23 September 2018
If you arrive after 6pm on Sunday 23 September, you need to arrange your own transport to Bath.
Your luggage allowance
Space on the coach is limited. You can bring:
- two large suitcases
- one item of hand luggage
- one laptop bag
Your suitcases must be no bigger than these measurements. Your hand luggage must be small enough to fit into the overhead rack or beneath your seat on the coach.
If your luggage is over the allowance, you will have to arrange your own transport to Bath.
You can send your belongings directly to the University for collection when you arrive.
Finding us at the airport
International Welcome Ambassadors, wearing yellow T-shirts, will be waiting for you at the meeting point in Terminal 3. This is on the ground floor of the arrivals area, next to the tourist information.
Arriving at another terminal
There are free transfers between Heathrow Airport's four terminals.
You can take a train or bus from Terminal 4 or 5 to Heathrow Central Station. The Central Station is a short walk from Terminal 3.
If you miss your coach
We'll try to find a place for you on the next available service. If this is not possible you may need to arrange your own travel to Bath.
International Welcome Ambassadors will be available to assist you during the day.
If you arrive after the last coach has left on Saturday, you can book accommodation at Heathrow and come on the first coach on Sunday if there is space.
If you arrive after the last coach has left on Sunday, you will have to arrange your own transport to Bath.
