We're looking for Food and Beverage Assistants to join our Hospitality team.
About the role
Are you a whiz when it comes to customer service?
Being a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant means that you’re in the heart of the action.
The University's Hospitality department provides catering to students, staff and external customers. There are many outlets that offer a range of food and drink options. Find out more about each of our outlets.
You’ll be greeting, serving and helping customers, making sure that they leave with a smile.
You’ll work with a great team who are dedicated to delivering outstanding service and going that extra mile for every customer. We will provide you with full training.
These roles may include early morning, evening and weekend working.
The rate of pay is £8.75 per hour, which increases to £9.28 including holiday pay.

CAFE at The Edge
A modern and stylish cafe in the university’s very own performing arts facility, The Edge. Shifts will include lunchtime work, evenings, and Saturdays.

A bustling café on the Parade, 4W serves hot and cold drinks, breakfast, soups, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and snacks.
Shifts may fall on any day of the week including weekends.

Wessex Restaurant and The Patch
Wessex Restaurant is a fine dining experience. Serves a classic bistro menu of freshly prepared starters, main courses and desserts.
The Patch is a vegetarian and vegan deli located in the heart of the university’s campus.
Shifts at both outlets include lunchtime work from 11am to 3pm on weekdays. Ideally, applicants will be able to work at least two lunchtimes a week.

A large dynamic bar, café and food court open to students, staff and visitors.
Shifts to include various hours across the week, including weekends.

A café, bar and restaurant open to postgraduate students and staff serving freshly-prepared hot food, sandwiches, salads and a range of hot and cold drinks.
Shifts mainly include weekday lunchtimes, some weekends and evenings dependent on functions.

A lively food court serving burritos, stir fry and noodles, pasta, salads, smoothies, hot drinks and snacks.
Shifts to include lunchtime work during the week.
Our dynamic food and drink outlet located within the Students’ Union building is home to Costa Coffee, The Proper Pasty Company and Quick Crȇpes.
Applications are particularly welcome if you have barista experience.

This is our food delivery service that caters for meetings and conferences on campus and in the city.
