Induction events coming up

If you are joining us as a doctoral researcher, there are a number of events designed to help you settle in to your studies. These are organised for doctoral researchers across the whole university. Your department may also organise local activities. Check with your Doctoral Programmes Administrator for more details.

If you are joining the Professional Doctorate Education Programme in January, your induction activities will be delivered during the Winter School.

'Starting your doctorate: an introduction to doctoral study at The University of Bath'

'Starting your doctorate' is the University's compulsory central induction session for new doctoral researchers. You will learn about the doctoral study process, have the opportunity to meet other members of the doctoral community and find out about key university services. Find out more and register for Starting your doctorate

'Living in a New Culture'

If you are new to the UK, you may wish to attend this session, run by Student Services. You'll hear essential information about life in the UK, including banking, healthcare, where to shop and UK culture. You will also have plenty of opportunities to meet other newly arrived students. We don't have any datesscheduled just yet, but if you have any questions about settling into the UK, please email Su Steenberg.
