Employability in higher education is about your ability to get employed and learn the behaviours and qualities to be a valued employee. It involves:
- developing your technical, transferrable and essential skills and competencies
- building self-awareness and industry knowledge
- learning how to navigate the recruitment process
Improving your employability extends beyond getting a graduate job. It also prepares you to take on different workplaces, roles, and challenges throughout your career.

Student and alumni LinkedIn communities
We have Students and Alumni LinkedIn groups for all our courses. Once you start your MSc, we'll invite you to join and connect with our alumni community. This is a great opportunity to build your professional network as well as stay up to date with employability at Bath after you graduate.
We also have a LinkedIn group if you're interested in studying one of our courses, or if you're an applicant or an offer holder. Join to learn more about our courses, the employability support we provide, and to connect with the Postgraduate Employability Team.
