Teacher and student in a one to one writing tutorial.
Develop your academic writing

Over the summer, 1:1 writing tutorials will be available from week 40 (4 July 2022) to week 49 (9 September 2022).

These are for all students but may be particularly useful if you are preparing your dissertation over the summer period and have to submit your work in September.

What are one-to-one writing tutorials?

Our personalised writing support can help you if you are working on any formal piece of writing that needs to be submitted, for example an assignment.

You can discuss any aspect of writing (structure, citations and referencing, cohesion etc) with a tutor, but we can't proofread your work for you.

You can ask questions about your work at any stage of development and get specialist guidance and suggestions on how to improve it.

The tutorials will help you at any stage of your studies, from undergraduate to doctoral level.
