Bringing guests to your ceremony

Ceremony invitations will be sent out by email in October. See registering to attend your graduation ceremony for more information.

If you complete the registration form in the invitation by our deadline we guarantee up to two guest tickets for family and friends to come to your graduation ceremony.

Guaranteed guest ticket numbers are restricted to two per student due to event capacity restrictions. Children aged two or under will not require a ticket but will have to sit on the lap of one of your guests. Children over the age of two will require a ticket.

If extra tickets are available for your ceremony we will let you know how to apply for them when we send you the invitation.

Accessibility or other arrangements for guests

Guest seating in the Assembly Rooms will not be allocated in advance unless your guests have specific accessibility requirements.

You must tell us if your guests have specific requirements when you register to attend your graduation ceremony.

If you have told us about a guest with specific requirements, the ceremony ushers will have this information and will be able to help you on the day.

Ceremony live stream

The ceremonies will be live streamed on the University website for those that cannot attend in person.

The link will appear on the Award Ceremonies webpage at the start of the week the ceremonies take place.

Visa letters

If you require a letter for you or your guests for visa purposes, please contact us on graduation@bath.ac.uk to request it.
