Law Fair: information for employers

Find out further details about attending our Law Fair as an employer.

Event dates & timings

This new fair was held on campus, on Thursday 21st November, 4pm to 7pm. The below information is retained for information only

What we offer

Careers Fairs remain a popular method for our students to research and meet employers. Following the success of our Autumn Careers and Placements Fair, the University of Bath Careers Service are hosting a specific Law Careers Fair for the first time. Whilst the University does not offer Law, we often have Law firms and providers of the CPE and GDL active on campus, and we have a growing Student Law Society. The event will be promoted to all years & disciplines via an App and internally including social media channels.

As this event is a pilot, we are not charging employers to attend but will be offering the opportunity to be an event sponsor - please contact Victoria Houston if interested in the sponsorship.

If you would like to attend, please email or - FAO Victoria to request a booking form link.

Free pilot event. We will provide:

  • Your pitch space 3m wide x 2m deep, with a tressle table (1.8m long) and 2 chairs. Tablecloths are not included.
  • 1 parking permit per employer.
  • Standard entry in our Fair App including company logo.
  • Sponsorship of the fair web page, logo added to all advertising and featured status on the App (chargeable).
  • Power supply if required.

Couriers/deliveries and exhibitions companies

If using, no deliveries before the day of the Fair please - we cannot accept any deliveries into our office or the Fair venue before the day, nor hold onto any stands/goods for collection the following day. If you are using a courier to bring your stand/other goods, they may only deliver direct to the venue on the day of the fair, after 2pm & collect the day after before 4pm as we cannot offer security of goods later than this. Please forward them these details and ensure that all goods are labelled with the client (not courier) name.

Parking on campus is at a premium and spaces cannot be reserved. Parking fines may be issued (by an external company) to any cars who park in the wrong area/without a permit. Permits for second vehicles cannot be used. If you decide to bring a second car you must use the P&D area - the machines take cash, or via Just Park text & App. See the above Travel page linked for information & prices.

Please ensure you enter campus via the main entrance off Claverton Down Road. Use East Car Park as signposted. One permit, if requested will be emailed to you no later than one week before the fair. You may use any permit space other than the exclusions listed on the permit provided, and you must bring and display this permit in your windscreen on the day.

If East car park is full, we can redirect you to another car park - please ring Victoria on 07891 790132.

If your own staff are bringing your stand or other goods in a car, please follow the signage on the day for parking in East Car Park. You will then need to walk approx. 10 mins to the venue on central campus - directions nearer the day.

We are unable to provide refreshments but the venue is close to a café and Co-Op. There are free water coolers available - please bring your own refillable bottle.

WiFi is now accessible campus wide. Please see the connecting to WiFi guide before the day.

Thank you again for participating and we look forward to seeing you on the day .
