We offer two levels in Brazilian Portuguese, Post Beginner and Lower Intermediate Part 2.

We teach Brazilian Portuguese, but some references are made to the variations of Portuguese spoken around the world, especially to European Portuguese.

Please contact the course tutor if you:

  • learnt Portuguese as a heritage language
  • lived in a Portuguese speaking country

If you are a speaker of Spanish, you will already have a vast amount of vocabulary and knowledge of the basic grammar that is similar to Portuguese. At this level, your main challenge will be the oral component. If you are interested in learning about this new culture and wish to focus on your pronunciation this course is for you.

All students are expected to dedicate an extra 90 minutes weekly outside the classroom to complete pre-lesson tasks and study Portuguese independently.
