Student Ambassadors

Many of the outreach activities and campus events organised by the Student Recruitment team are delivered or supported by our excellent team of Student Ambassadors.

Our Student Ambassador Scheme is open to all current undergraduate students at Bath, and offers students the opportunity to work in a paid role where they can speak to prospective students about their experiences of university life and study, as well as how to make a competitive university application.

All of our Student Ambassadors receive comprehensive training, and have experience of delivering a wide range of events to different groups of students.

Student Ambassador Alex O’Neill, (an MMath Mathematics student) commented 'During my two and a half years as a Student Ambassador I've been involved with plenty of HE fairs around the country, as well as a variety of on-campus events such as school visits and open days. This has given me the chance to talk with students at all stages of their school life and from every background imaginable, and to talk openly and honestly about applying to university, university life, and everything else vaguely related to higher education.

'Feedback from the students and their teachers has shown that talking with a current student in this way has been incredibly helpful for many students in clearing up any misconceptions and demystifying the world of higher education. It has been incredibly rewarding to use my own first-hand experiences to help a new generation of students figure out what they want post-18 and how to get there, and has also made me much more confident in talking to crowds and keeping their attention.'
