Our welcome activity calendar is a great way to meet other students and explore your new home. All sessions are open to everyone.

City centre walking tour Guided tour of the sights of central Bath. Lead by SLAs, this is a chance to meet other students and get to know the city. Up to 10 students per tour, three km distance and roughly one hour long. Starting 2 October onwards Book online Connect
Green space walking trails A chance to exercise and enjoy the green spaces and nature of Bath. Lead by SLAs, this is a chance to meet other students and aid your wellbeing. Up to 10 students per tour, six to seven km distance and roughly two hours long. Three route options available. Starting 2 October onwards Book online Wellbeing
Tea and talk Chat with SLAs and other students about life in accommodation and Bath, plus top tips for studying and settling in. Enjoy a complimentary hot drink from one of the caf├ęs on campus and make connections from other households. 27 and 29 September, then Wednesday and Sunday afternoons from 2 October onwards Book online Connect
Yoga Weekly yoga sessions running in the Polden communal space. Classes of 11 running to help your health and wellbeing. Fully booked for October November/December sessions coming soon Wellbeing
Jogging group Get together with SLAs and other students to keep fit, healthy and catch up with others. Routes are on campus and around the city, with a relaxed approach. Mondays and Thursdays 7pm from 5 October Book online Wellbeing
Cooking lessons Learn some simple and healthy recipes from our hospitality Chef Mike James, to help you transition to independent living at University. Beginner and intermediate classes available. Wednesday afternoons 5pm from 27 October Book online Skills
How to establish and maintain positive relationships An informal training and advice session to help develop skills in building rapport and connecting with others, to help you settle into living in a new household. Develop assertiveness, listening and confidence in expressing your thoughts and feelings with empathy. Aimed at helping students settle and prosper in halls, these are transferable skills which can help you in later life. 12 or 18 October 6.30pm to 8pm Book online Skills
