Stay Connected

What's next?

Unsure about your next steps after completing your studies? Worried about job-hunting? Thinking about further study?

Stay Connected is a tailored programme of support to help the Class of 2021 transition from Bath into graduate employment or further study and navigate the unique challenges resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic.

You can access support through MyFuture, Bath Connection and Student Services, as well as through our programme of events.

The programme will run throughout the autumn, starting Thursday 16 September, with tailored sessions for both undergraduate and postgraduate leavers.

Stay Connected aims to:

  • provide you with an update on the current graduate job market
  • explore what employability means in a post-Covid world of work
  • increase your confidence in writing effective job applications and approaching different selection processes
  • help you develop a personal career action plan and strategies to build resilience
  • prepare you for further study, if that’s your next step.

The programme is open to all completing students and will offer a combination of engaging online and on-demand sessions during the week (if you miss any, you can access video recordings afterwards).

You'll also have the opportunity to opt in to receive useful resources and graduate vacancies by email.

Simply register here to opt in to emails about Stay Connected. Once you have registered, you can view all upcoming events here.

We also recommend checking that the details we have on file for you are correct to ensure that you don't miss out on news and updates from us once you have left the University.

Supporting your move to further study

If you plan to continue your studies at postgraduate level, whether at Bath or elsewhere, self-access modules are available to guide you through the differences between undergraduate and postgraduate courses and help you develop the key academic skills required at this level.

Our blog 'From undergraduate to postgraduate - small steps, not a giant leap' also sets out what to expect.

Postgraduate Progression Award

As graduates of the University of Bath, you are very important to us, so we've created an award to help support your continued study with us and to develop your career.

The Postgraduate Progression Award is a token of our appreciation for your choice to stay part of our community.

If you graduated from Bath in December 2020 or are finishing your studies in the 2020/21 academic year and are considering further study with us in the 2021/22 academic year, you may be eligible for 20% off your postgraduate tuition fees.

Staying in touch with Bath

Remember, your connection with the University of Bath doesn’t end when you complete your studies.

Maintain your wellbeing

You can continue to use Student Services' Be Well - Talk Now and Wellbeing Service until the end of August if you're a completing undergraduate, or December if you're a completing PGT student. The Office for Students also provides a list of useful 'Look after yourself' wellbeing links.

Get careers support

Completing students have life-time access to the Careers Service. This includes appointments with Careers Advisers and access to careers information, resources and graduate vacancy listings in MyFuture.

Connect with your fellow alumni

You’ll also join a global network of over 125,000 alumni. Through Bath Connection, our e-networking service exclusive to Bath students and graduates, you can seek advice, guidance and support from alumni working in a range of industries around the world.
