Our Prize Fellowships offer early-stage researchers the opportunity to join a cohort of like-minded rising research stars. These two-year research fellowships in our priority research areas are part of a scheme intended to fast-track fellows to a permanent appointment at Bath.

We are seeking future academic leaders across a range of disciplines who will benefit from our well-resourced and supportive research environment.

As a member of this elite group, you will be on track to become a key member of our research community with a permanent academic position. Our supportive community successfully nurtures ambitious early stage researchers and provides for the requirements of their developing research programme.

In the School of Management we wish to appoint a Fellow to further strengthen and develop areas of existing research excellence, and you should have an active research programme in Operations Research.

You will be expected to extend the current research power of IDO, and publish papers in high ranking OR journals. Candidates should have a good command of state-of-the-art discrete and continuous optimization methods as well as their applications. Working knowledge of Data Science methods is a plus.

As part of your application you must provide:

  • a completed application form
  • an outline of your research plans over the next 3-5 years, showing how you will complement and enhance research within the research area (no more than 2 sides of A4, minimum font size 11)
  • a CV
