As Biology & Biochemistry Widening Participation and Outreach Officer at the University of Bath you will use your knowledge of Biology to support and develop outreach projects and activities for a wide variety of school and college audiences.

Reporting jointly to the Department of Biology & Biochemistry and the Widening Participation (WP) Office you will contribute to a number of University wide programmes such as On Track to Bath, residential Summer Schools and activities for younger age groups. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering the Department of Biology and Biochemistry's outreach activities offering your expertise in schools and colleges to support academic colleagues with planning and administering their events and projects.

The successful candidate will be flexible, hardworking and able to work independently as well as part of a team. The capacity to build good working relationships with a variety of people and the ability to ensure successful delivery of a wide variety of events and activities are essential.

This post is part-time working 18.25 hours per week (0.5 FTE) and is mainly based within the University of Bath campus. The post is being offered on a fixed-term contract basis with an expected duration of 2 years.
