This is an exciting entry level position for your future career in Procurement!

We are recruiting a well organised, conscientious Procurement Apprentice with a high level of attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop. This is a 18 month fixed term role.

As part of the IT Procurement Team, you will provide support in the IT Campus Computer shop that manages the day-to-day delivery of an effective IT Procurement Service to the University Faculties, Schools and Departments. This will include gaining experience in the areas of procurement & supply, contract administration and socially responsible procurement:

This is a wide and varied role, which involves dealing with, and supporting, a student and staff-facing service and you will provide advice and support to understand their requirements and guiding them to the most appropriate technology products and services available

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to discussions about improving methods of working, to follow those methods once agreed and to document and maintain those methods so they become knowledge for staff across the Digital, Data and Technology group

The role requires:

  • High levels of attention to detail to ensure accurate records and systems are maintained.
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of first-class, high quality customer service.
  • confidence working independently, but also be a strong team player.

The role is supported by a level 3 apprenticeship scheme and will start you on your path to professional accreditation.

This is a hybrid role allowing you to work from the Claverton Down campus and from home, which can be arranged flexibly.
