Our Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) is leading a complex digital and technology transformation that will ensure that we continue to meet the current demands of our customers, and that we improve and innovate continuously in the future.

We now have a unique opening for a Dynamics 365 Developer to join our Digital, Data and Technology team (DDaT) at The University of Bath. We are looking for a passionate technologist to deliver innovative applications that drives impact and increases mobility and agility across the University’s professional services and academic departments.

A superb communicator and collaborator you will gather ideas and convert into customised solutions, troubleshoot issues and provide advice and support. You will be self-motivated, solutions orientated, and engaged in a range of technically challenging work, automating processes and building solutions. Being a strong advocate for Dynamics, Office 365, SharePoint and PowerPlatform with a program of user-adoption, you will be willing to cross-train in order to support and possibly develop D365 solutions where appropriate, depending on your experience.  

We are looking for a digital professional who wishes to progress their career and is confident and proactive taking ownership and leading on application services driving a user-centric approach to application delivery.


Key deliverables

Provide support for the existing D365 applications, SharePoint Online and Power Platform

Design and deliver applications in some of the above technologies.

Identify new and alternative approaches to performing business activities. 

Bring about improvements and measurable business benefits by identifying and proposing process improvements. 

Where necessary work across teams, both in and out of Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT).

Establish an appropriate knowledge of the roles of other teams and individuals within Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT), as well as those outside DDaT, related to the relevant business areas, in particular where systems and services interact. Know-how and from whom to elicit help.

Gather requirements and translate it to appropriate development methodologies i.e Agile/hybrid/waterfall development

Documentation - document solution design and specification/ training documents, support and user guides. 


Technical skills 

Experience in Dynamics365, SharePoint online and PowerPlatform

Experience in migration and redesign of legacy SharePoint solutions would be desirable. 

Front End web development experience (e.g. using HTML, CSS, React.Js, TypeScript) desirable.
