Lecturer (Full Time, Fixed Term, 6 Months)
The Department for Health is seeking to appoint a fixed-term (maternity cover) Lecturer (Teaching) in Physical Activity and Health. The successful candidate will be expected to teach primarily on the BSc Health & Exercise Science, and MSci Sport & Exercise Science degree programmes. These courses attract bright and dynamic students through our strong reputation in sports-related research that informs our teaching, and the opportunity to study at a university renowned for promoting and facilitating sporting excellence.
The successful applicant will join a team of lecturers delivering a suite of units across programmes, and will be expected to teach a range of topics and have expertise in one or more of the following areas; the promotion of physical activity across different populations and life stages, health promotion, public health, evaluation and research methods in sport, health and exercise science. Successful applicants may be asked to take on other roles in teaching support such as personal tutoring, dissertation supervision, course development and other administrative activities as they arise.
This is a fixed term, 1.0 FTE position of 6-month’s duration to provide maternity cover for Semester 2 of the 2021-22 academic year, with a proposed start date of 3rd January 2022. For more information about the Department and programmes please go to: http://www.bath.ac.uk/health/
