Nursery Nurse (part-time)

About you:

You will be driven by the opportunity to create a safe and engaging environment for young children. You will be naturally alert to the security of others seeking to react or pre-empt a situation before it escalates. As someone who enjoys being part of a team, you will also have:

  • developed a high level of communication with parents and children.
  • an understanding of the EYFS curriculum with the ability to support the development of our children.
  • a minimum NVQ 3 in Childcare & Education (or another relevant qualification, including BTEC, PGCE, NNEB etc).
  • a relevant First Aid Certificate.

About the role:

Providing care and education to young children between the ages 6 months to 5 years, you will become a key member of the team. Working closely with the Room leader, you will select, prepare and use a range of resources suitable for children’s ages, interests, and abilities, taking account of diversity and promoting equality and inclusion.

We currently provide care for 48 children mostly from staff and students of the University. Opening on site in 1977 we are proud of our outstanding record, and we work closely with many other departments within the University of Bath to ensure the safety and wellbeing and best possible education for children. We are open between 8.30am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday.

The appointment will be made subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance being obtained.
