Business Intelligence & Data Manager

Our Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) is leading a sophisticated digital and technology transformation that will ensure that we continue to meet the current demands of our customers, and that we improve and innovate continuously in the future.

We have a big opportunity for a Business Intelligence & Data Manager to join our team responsible for the development, maintenance and innovation of the University’s Business Intelligence platforms and provision. This is a key role supporting the Deputy Director Digital & Data enabling the University to make evidence based decisions inputting into interpersonal strategies that improve the digital experience of all communities across the University.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the overall direction of Business Intelligence (BI) throughout the University, working with the DDaT leadership team to develop the strategic direction and ensure stakeholder satisfaction with the deliverables of data initiatives.
  • BI roadmap, to develop specific objectives for the use of BI throughout the University; developing budgets, resources and operations to support them.
  • Champion alignment of BI measures in driving performance objectives; evangelising the value of BI, analytics and sound data management to executive sponsors of the digital strategy, and users.
  • Lead the overall design and support of the BI technology environment, including information acquisition, management, warehousing and delivery solutions.
  • Promote and facilitate the development of self-service capabilities for the University in the access and reporting of business information.
  • With the BI team, evolve and implement methodologies for all stages of the BI Software Development Lifecycle, identifying and implementing industry standard methodologies. 
  • Develop and implement data quality and governance standards, identifying and assigning business owners in each area as needed.

You will significantly influence the strategic technical direction of the Business Intelligence provision at the University and will be a member of the Data, Information Security & Business Intelligence Steering group (DISBIS).
