Marketing Officer

The Faculty of Science is looking to recruit a talented and experienced Marketing Officer. If successfully appointed, you will join the Faculty’s Marketing and Web Team working closely across a diverse and interesting range of marketing and communications projects and activities to ensure the effective implementation of a Faculty-wide marketing, communications and recruitment strategy.

No two days are the same and you will work in a fast-paced and stimulating environment, managing digital campaigns, writing copy, shaping new initiatives that showcase the student experience at Bath and help to attract undergraduate and master’s students to Bath, with a particular focus on the international market. When not working on recruitment initiatives, you will help to highlight our research internally and externally, will undertake market analysis to inform new course development and help to launch new courses, or input into University-wide initiatives that help us to navigate the ‘new normal’.

You will be confident working with a range of stakeholders at different levels, both within the Faculty, and with colleagues in other faculties and central teams including recruitment and marketing. You will join a team that takes pride in building strong working relationships, developing new initiatives and delivering results.

Experience of working in marketing and the ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships are essential. You should also have excellent organisational skills, be a good team player and be able to successfully manage your workload, as well as stakeholder expectations.

The Faculty is embracing hybrid working and the expectation is that you will work a minimum of two days on campus with the option of working the rest of your time from home.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Simone Dumergue, Faculty of Science Marketing & Communications Manager (sd825@bath.ac.uk or 01225 386067), however, please submit your application via the University website.
