We are looking for an eager, motivated administrator to join our busy Placement Team. Our engineering and architecture undergraduates undertake a placement in industry as part of their sandwich degree. This is a varied and vital role in providing administrative support to the Placement Team, academics, employers and students.

As the first point of contact, you will need excellent interpersonal skills and be confident working in a busy environment as part of a dynamic team. In order to be immediately operational in the role, a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn in-house systems (i.e. Moodle) are essential. You will be required to manage and update our IT systems and should be highly computer literate. The role also requires creative skills to develop our online resources. You will need good written and verbal communication skills. You should have high levels of attention to detail to ensure accurate records and systems are maintained as well as the organisational skills for running events.

As part of a forward thinking team you will be involved in process improvement and the development of new systems using University software.

We are a small and friendly team of Placement Officers and Placement Manager based within the Faculty of Engineering and Design but collaborating with colleagues across other Faculties and the central Careers Service.

Due to the nature of the role we can only accept applications for a full-time position.

For an informal discussion, please contact Vicky Hill, Placement Manager on 01225 383467 or V.L.Hill@bath.ac.uk
