About the role

We are looking for a Programmes Administrator to join our large Taught Programmes Team in the Faculty of Science. We care about student and staff well-being, providing an excellent service and University reputation. If you are an experienced administrator, and a good team player who also enjoys working independently, taking initiative and can handle a busy and varied workload, we would welcome an application from you.

We are looking for a pro-active and self-motivated individual to play a key role supporting one of our departments, working closely with other team members and academic staff to ensure the smooth and efficient administration and operation of our degree programmes within the Faculty. 

The role would be best suited to an experienced administrator familiar with a busy and varied workload with good attention to detail, working to tight deadlines at key points in the year and able to juggle conflicting priorities, so applicants should have previous experience of working in a busy administrative role. 

You will need to work closely with other team members, academic colleagues and students from across the world and other stakeholders, so effective communication skills are essential. You should also have good computer skills, with sound proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and the ability to learn the use of database systems and other bespoke software.

Previous experience

  • You will have previous experience of working in an administrative support role (preferably with experience of HE student administration) or equivalent experience working in a busy office in an administrative role.

We are currently working a hybrid work pattern which would mean a minimum of 3 days on campus working, this is a full-time, permanent position.
