The Raiser’s Edge Database, which holds over 138,000 records of former students, honorary graduates, donors and other supporters of the University is fundamental to the success of the University’s alumni relations and fundraising operations.

The University of Bath was ranked number five in the UK in the Guardian University Guide and regularly takes its place in the top 10 of other major UK league tables.  The Department of Development & Alumni Relations plays a leading role in our landmark 50th Anniversary fundraising campaign and our 50th anniversary celebrations.


The responsibilities of the Database Assistant role will include updating the Raiser’s Edge and maintaining accurate records;  undertaking regular audits to ensure the consistency, completeness and integrity of data; processing donations; and responding to a wide range of information requests from graduates and members of University staff.

The successful applicant will be resourceful, proactive and reliable.  You will possess exceptional aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail, and will assist the Database Manager in spotting and correcting errors and inconsistencies in data entry.  Experience working in a busy office environment is essential, as are very strong IT skills including familiarity with advanced functions of MS Excel and MS Word.

Occasionally, the post-holder will be expected to attend alumni events that may take place during the evening or at weekends and for which time off in lieu will be given.
