The recently formed Institute of Coding is keen to recruit an experienced administrator to the role of Business Development Co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team leading a national initiative to improve digital skills across the country.

The Institute of Coding (IoC)  is a national initiative, funded by the Government through the Office for Students (£20m) and is led by the University of Bath. It brings together 25 universities, and over 60 employers, training providers and professional bodies to collaborate, develop and deliver innovative, industry-focused higher education across the UK. It will develop industry accredited degree schemes and short courses aimed at professionals, as well as working to widen the participation of women, returners to work and hard to reach groups.

The Institute’s vision is to enhance the education and employability of every IoC learner, and ensure that employers and individuals across the UK can access the skills they need to compete in the global digital economy. The aim is that, together, we can help to address the UK’s digital skills gap.

Business Development Co-ordinator will be responsible for the operational aspects of the IoC business development activities, working as part of the business development team to provide high quality customer care for corporate contacts, facilitating their effective interaction with academic partners across the country.

The role will be to provide pro-active day-to-day support for the IoC Business Development Managers and professional administrative support for the high profile external IoC Industry Advisory Board, including the Board Chair and the industry Chairs of Working Groups.

This is a high profile project with interest from government and industry. You will be required to establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships with academic and professional staff from across the IoC Consortium and beyond, including engaging with high status external stakeholders within industry, academia and Government. You will be responsible for recording, monitoring and reporting on all IoC business development activity.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience of working in an administrative position, ideally providing support at a senior level either within Higher Education, or in a similarly complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.

If you have experience of providing high quality administrative support in a complex organisation we look forward to hearing from you.

Due to grant funding this is a fixed-term post until March 2021.
