This is an exciting opportunity to join the Students’ Union’s Volunteer team, supporting student-led community volunteering groups. 

You will be responsible for working with our community volunteer groups and societies, as well as building partnerships with university faculties, charities and schools to advise and support with fundraising activities and to develop a range of volunteer opportunities with our students. 

We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising, as well as an understanding of event management and mentoring volunteers to lead their own projects. You will also be required to market and promote student volunteering within the community.

You will be able to work independently and calmly under pressure yet work well as part of a team and have strong time management and interpersonal skills.

Reporting to the Volunteer and Societies Manager, you will be working as part of the Activities Team, linking particularly with one other Volunteer Co-ordinator, a Volunteer Administrator and a Societies Co-ordinator.

You will be part of a team that ensures our key services are student led and reflect our values.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, the internet and social media are essential.

This is a part-time role, working 4 days per week over 44 weeks per year.
