The Faculty of Science is looking for a pro-active and self-motivated individual to join our Taught Programmes team. You will play a vital role in providing administrative support for a number of our taught programmes, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation.

Applicants should have previous experience of working in a busy office environment in an administrative role, and attention to detail is very important, as is the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You will need to work closely with other team members, academic colleagues and students from across the world, so effective communication and customer relation skills are highly important.

You will be responsible for autonomously managing certain areas of work, so you will need to use your own initiative with a high degree of flexibility and help identify improvements in service.

You should have good computer skills, with a proficiency in Word and Excel and while experience in HE systems would be advantageous, full training will be provided. Most important is an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the Faculty and its departments.

We care about student and staff well-being, excellent service and University reputation. Trust, care and work-life balance are part of our core values, resulting in commitment to our roles and to each others' welfare. If this approach resonates with you and you are a good team player who also enjoys working independently and taking initiative, we would welcome an application from you.

We offer a competitive rate of pay, generous pension scheme, 23 days of annual leave per year, as well as eight bank holidays and five extra discretionary days. Learn more about working at the University of Bath.
