We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Research Associate to carry out a project at the University of Bath working with Professor Andrew Burrows in the Department of Chemistry.

The successful candidate will undertake a programme of research to investigate the uptake of biomolecules into metal-organic framework materials and their controlled release from these porous materials. In addition to the experimental work, there will be an opportunity to carry out molecular modelling studies.

You will have experience of working with porous materials and the ability to work closely with partners in other disciplines. You will have a PhD in chemistry or a related discipline, an ability to organise your own workload and excellent communication skills.

The position is available from 1 October 2019 for up to 22 months.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Andrew Burrows (a.d.burrows@bath.ac.uk) or Professor Tina Düren (t.duren@bath.ac.uk).

The University of Bath is committed to equality of opportunity. We invite applications from candidates irrespective of their gender, age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups, including women.
