The post is offered within a large project which is building an adaptive cardiac pacemaker.  The project is led by a multidisciplinary team of Physicists, VLSI designers, medical experts and medical device industry partners.  

You with be located at the University of Bath and will play a key role in integrating and testing the various components of pacemaker electronics which have been designed and built. The components to be integrated include biosensors, pacing electronics and telemetry.  The pacemaker will be tested and validated on the lab bench according to specifications. Testing is intended to inform eventual corrections in design and validate the pacemaker performance prior to trials.

You will be expected to provide technical support to the teams performing in-vivo trials.

Candidates with a BSc/MSc degree in Electronics or Physics would be encouraged and with experience or knowledge of Microcontroller programming (C, C++, Python), Neural networks, nonlinear science, Labview programming, Wireless (bluetooth), FPGA (VHDL/Verilog), Allegro, Lab testing and validation of circuit and devices.

This is a fixed-term role until December 2021.
