We are searching for someone with excellent organisational skills, experience of working in teaching practicals and with a sound knowledge of the base concepts in Physics, also able to enthuse and engage undergraduate students.

This post is part of a team primarily providing support to undergraduate teaching in practical labs and is also important is supporting outreach activities.

Through clear communication with the technical and academic teaching teams, you will maintain good organisation, stocking and timely preparation and turnover of the lab setups and equipment as well as promote good health and safety practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience in technical support within a higher education teaching environment. Experience in health and safety compliance, including writing risk assessment and COSHH, would be an advantage. Effective time-management skills, efficiency, enthusiasm and a flexible approach to work are essential.

Candidates with a degree in Physics (or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline), or suitable work experience are encouraged to apply. 

This is a full-time role but consideration will also be given to candidates who are seeking University term-time only or alternative part-time working arrangements.
