The University's Payments Team has the responsibility for promptly and accurately processing approximately 90,000 supplier invoices from 4,500 suppliers each year, as well as processing all staff expense claims and student maintenance payments.

This busy team is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Finance Assistant.

You will primarily be involved with registering and processing invoices for a defined portfolio of suppliers; ensuring processes are fully compliant with current University Financial Regulations and ensuring payments are passed for approval in a timely manner to achieve regular deadlines.

You should have a good standard of general education, an eye for detail and sound IT skills. You will also need to be well organised, a confident communicator and tactful in dealing with people, as well as enjoy working as part of a supportive team to meet common goals. Previous experience of working in an Accounts Payable or Finance office environment is not necessary but would be advantageous.

We positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
