We are looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice to join the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

About the role:

We wish to appoint two outstanding academics in pharmacy practice to complement existing strengths in health-related and applied clinical research that will form a major research theme within the Department. Whilst expertise in most aspects of pharmacy practice is relevant to the post, we would welcome applicants with a major interest in at least one of the following subject areas; health data science, epidemiology, medicine safety, behavioural medicine, polypharmacy, deprescribing, ageing or multimorbidity.

Expertise in bioinformatics and analysis of large health-related databases such as the CPRD and/or the UK Biobank would be regarded favourably, as would applicants with interests well aligned with UKRI and NIHR funding opportunities.

About you:

You will have a strong research portfolio (including high impact publications, grant income and collaborations at the national and international level) and will be able to enhance the new research capabilities. You will also be expected to utilise innovative teaching strategies to contribute to the Bath blended learning curriculum. This will involve a range of teaching activities (lectures, interactive workshops and practical teaching) to be delivered to our highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacy.
