We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the planning, creation and delivery of digital content and media to support the Faculty of Science’s wide-ranging marketing and research activities. You'll join the Faculty Marketing and Web Team and play a key role in managing our digital presence to external and internal stakeholders.

Using your knowledge of content and user design experience, you'll work closely with colleagues in the Faculty and across the University to create appropriate content that meets specific user needs. You'll continually review and optimise content to improve performance, using the University's specific publishing platform, built and developed in-house.

You'll have a proven track record of:

  • Writing for the web with the ability to produce appropriate content and advise Faculty colleagues on best practice techniques
  • Knowledge of sourcing and/or creating other types of content (e.g. images, video, audio, animation) and using these to deliver effective content and campaigns
  • Developing and managing content across multiple digital platforms using a CMS
  • An understanding of web usability and inclusive design requirements
  • You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Marketing and our digital agency, to manage the operational delivery of the digital marketing campaigns

You must be able to communicate effectively and confidently to develop good working relationships. You should have excellent organisational skills, be a good team player and be able to successfully manage your workload, as well as stakeholder expectations.

This opportunity will allow you to:

  • Explore emerging digital solutions and how they can be applied in a Higher Education setting
  • Make a major contribution to successfully promoting the Faculty to external and internal audiences
  • Join a friendly and supportive team that prides itself on building strong relationships, exploring new ideas, and delivering results

This is a part-time role (0.8 fte/29.2 hours per week) and will be a mixture of remote working and working on campus.
