Applications are invited for the part-time position of Research Manager in Radio Science.

About the role

The new position will contribute to the management, administrative processes and overall running of the research group and the post-holder will actively take part in departmental activities promoting radio science.

The post will involve the co-supervision of research staff and research students, administrative activities and identifying new research opportunities. There will also be opportunity to attend conferences and to undertake research and scholarly activities in order to remain current with developments in the field.  The post-holder will undertake research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

About you

The post would suit a post-doctoral scientist with experience in project management. Candidates must have a PhD in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related subject and experience of research in the field of radio science.

This part-time post of 18.25 hours (0.5 FTE) and will be available from 1 October 2019. This role will be offered on a fixed-term 11 month contract. The hours are flexible within the working week.
