The Directorate of Student Services, is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic professional to an exciting new role which will lead on delivering preventative student mental health programmes that reduce the incidence, recurrence and impact of mental ill-health on student well-being, academic success and employment outcomes. The role will also support the Deputy Director in managing complex student situations and contracts with external service providers that support student mental health.

The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to enhancing student well-being and success within the context of Student Services whilst working closely with other Professional Services, Academic Departments, the Students’ Union and community based agencies.  Student Services comprises Counselling & Mental Health, Wellbeing, Disability, and Student Money Advice services

The successful applicant will have a relevant academic qualification, professional registration (i.e. state-registration) in the areas of Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or allied health professions; extensive experience of delivering mental health and well-being services; demonstrable experience of managing health promotion, prevention activities; project management and effective interpersonal and communication skills.

This post is full time (36.5 hours) and will require the post holder to work flexibly over the week with some out of hours responsibilities.
