The Centre for Sustainable Power Distribution at the University of Bath is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the team on an EPSRC funded Supergen Hub for Energy Networks. The key objective of the Hub is to broaden the understanding of the ‘whole systems approach’ that will be necessary to transform the UK energy system. There are a total of 6 themes across the Hub, this post is to advance research in the market and regulation for energy networks and to bring the communities together to collectively develop holistic and enduring commercial and regulatory solutions that are fit for the future energy networks. 

The purpose of this role is to provide subject-specific research expertise and undertake specific research work to a Principal Investigator (PI)/Co-Investigator (CI) and their research team for a specified grant/project. The role will involve development of holistic techno-economic tools for commercial arrangements and regulatory frameworks for energy networks, future-proof commercial and regulatory frameworks for major challenges, writing up results of research and contributing to publishing, and develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research.
