About the role

Our Academic Staff Development Team are recruiting for a Researcher Development Manager to lead a programme of researcher development activities across the University. You will work with key stakeholders across the University, in particular colleagues in the Academic Staff Development Team and Research & Innovation Services.  You will support the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research in the implementation of key initiatives, including the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers 2019, and will act as the convenor of the Research Staff Working Group. 

About you

Ideally you should be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong commitment to developing research staff
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of researcher development frameworks, and their implementation
  • Development and Ownership of a programme of researcher development activities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills 
  • Initiative and flexibility in a changing research environment
