The International Relations Office (IRO) at the University of Bath is recruiting for an International Partnerships Officer to join our International Partnerships team and support the development, delivery and administration of international agreements, projects and networks.

As an International Partnerships Officer, you will provide support, service and expertise for all partnerships-related activity. You will be a key point of contact and service for internal and external stakeholders, building relationships with students, academic and professional services staff, and with representatives of partner universities and other organisations in the Higher Education sector.

Our ideal applicant will:

  • be motivated and highly organised
  • able to work both independently and with the wider team, including with diverse stakeholders across the University and externally
  • have an interest and broad knowledge of international Higher Education trends and developments
  • have prior experience in partnership development, especially in institutional engagement, funding or network-building
  • be an efficient administrator

More about the role

As part of the role you will be expected to provide support especially for institutional agreements and contracts, the University’s participation in international league tables, and engagement with strategic partners and alliances, including flagship international initiatives. The role will support partnership analysis, the organisation of high-level events, and the management of IRO Funding Schemes and Global Chair activities.

This role is available from the 1st of August. 

About the team

The IRO is responsible for managing student mobility and international partnerships. The International Partnerships Team manages a portfolio of partnerships and academic networks and alliances in research and learning & teaching. Providing expert advice and service for international higher education and research development, the team oversees agreements, co-ordinates the IRO Funding Schemes and the Global Chair programme and supports capacity-building for Transnational Education (TNE) and research training. The team also leads on, or provides support for, new projects and initiatives that embed internationalisation across the University, raise the institutional profile overseas, and create new global opportunities for our students and staff.
