The University of Bath’s Gold Scholarship Programme (GSP) provides financial support and a comprehensive enrichment programme of activities to University of Bath students from less advantaged backgrounds. The programme aims to ensure that its scholars are equipped with the funding, transferrable skills, knowledge, experience and social capital needed to maximise their Bath experience and to succeed in the graduate job market / postgraduate study.

We are looking for a Scholarships and Bursaries Enrichment Officer to join our team and play a key role in the organisation and delivery of the GSP and will also support the University’s Arts Scholars. 50 new Scholars join the programme each year and participate in the programme until they graduate.

To succeed in the role, you will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively as you will be one of the main points of contact for the Gold and Arts Scholars. You will need to be proactive and resolve problems as well as being able to ask for support from the team when required. Our ideal applicant will also need;

  • experience in developing a delivering training workshops
  • be able to prioritise workloads
  • have excellent written communication skills

The post will require you to travel externally and work a moderate amount of evening and weekends which time in lieu is provided. There is also a restriction on taking holiday in September due to funding allocation responsibilities within this post.

This role is part time working 25.55 hours per week (0.7 FTE).
